Nemar, a Male Wood Elf.
Elves (or, more officially, Wood Elves) are one of the three Elven races created in the Elven Split. They inhabit Dryadis in the Central Continent of the Material Plane. They were kicked out of the Faewild by the Eladrin thousands of years ago.
Traits[]
Wood elves are generally shorter than their Drow or Eladrin brethren. They are attuned to nature, usually have good dexterity, and delight in friendly competition. They have a sense of humor that can sometimes seem overbearing to other races. Elves live longer than Drow but not as long as Eladrin. They generally grow to be 200-400 years old.
Politics[]
Elves were the first - and currently only - of all races to institute a democratic system based on the will of the people. A true democracy became too unwieldy, but they still follow a democratic republic-style government. There is an Elven royal family, but they are generally ignored by the public.

Roles[]
If a wood elf decides to become an adventurer, s/he usually tends towards being a ranger/bowman or a druid of some sort. Some elves become Priests of Melora, as she is the most popular deity among elves.
