The Riftspanner is an ancient Artifact found by the Council of Three. They believe it was created by The One.
History[]
When they built the Temple of the One, the Council placed the Riftspanner in its Inner Chamber and created a set of Trials to keep out those who would use it for harmful purposes. It sat there for millennia until very recently, when Cyric overcame the Trials and took it for himself.
Use[]
Not much is known about the Riftspanner or how it works, but it is believed it has the power to open doorways into other dimensions. Cyric used it to open a Rift in the Temple of the One, which he disappeared through with Jenova and Laz Ursulus.
