Seattle is a metroplex or state, located on the Western coast of the United Canadian and American States. After the Shutdown of the Matrix and the Renraku Mech Takeover, Seattle became a wasteland, home only to Mechs and those few Seattle Resistance Cells that seek to survive and overcome the rule of the Mechs.
Stacy and Dalanir's Excellent Adventure[]
While hiding from the Harbingers of Purity in the hours directly following the Harbinger Coup, Quen and Pointy experienced a shared dream in which they traveled to a strange city together. They met Jeff, a Human who saved them from being killed by a giant metal creature. Jeff is the head of one of the Seattle Resistance Cells and agrees to take the two back to his headquarters.
On the way there, he explains the situation. The city has been overrun by self-aware mechs who have wiped out large swaths of the population. They have a plan to destroy one of the main hubs of the mechs, but they're unable to get past two elemental monsters in the sewers. These monsters are magical, and humanoids' abilities to use magic died out many generations ago. Making matters worse, they don't seem to be affected by nonmagical means.
Jeff introduces the two to Henry, the cook - they introduce themselves as Dalanir and Stacy. Henry doesn't believe magic ever existed; Pointy, in a classic gaslighting move, teleports but denies it when Henry points it out.
Finally, the duo reveal that they are, in fact, magic users. They join Jeff and Brangor - the leader of the Elven resistance cell - in assaulting the factory. They kill the magical creatures in the sewers, clearing the way, and travel with Jeff as he blows up the factory, at which point the two of them wake up.
Pilgrimage, Part 3: Future Ghosts[]
After defeating Sharassa atop the new Spire, the Sandstriders go through yet another Rift in their quest to find Cyric. Out of this Rift they arrive in Seattle, where they meet a young boy named Gabriel and eventually, Jeff's resistance cell.
